Hi leeburghstrohm,

I don't know much about SSL, does this post help?

No, this psot does not help.

This is just for a menu item that links to a chronoforms.

my chrono forms is loaded in an article via the plugin {chronocontact}myform{/chronocontact}

the article is displayed via https://www.mydomain.com/my-article

it comes up fine. the warning appears when you click on the submit button. this is really strange!! and does not make sense. I am using the authorize.net plugin with my form. perhaps this might be one of the issues?!
After looking a bit furthure, the issue, is of coarse, the form action url. it is http://mydomain...... and not https:!

this is the issue! it should be relative or absolute with the https.! might be an issue with the plugin parameter. should be an option in the chronotools form parameters to set for ssl!!

to see whats going on.. PLEASE help me resolve. would like to launch this site. ASAP. this is one of my last items!

Hi leeburstroghm,

Which version of ChronoForms are you using? I've just dug into the current code and it looks as though it should pick up the prefix for the OnSubmit URL from the current page - but yours clearly isn't doing this?

The latest, I downloaded it only a couple weeks ago, at least I think its the latest.

packages ChronoForms_V3.1_RC5.5 and ChronoForms_Plugin_V3.1_RC5.2 !!
Though the godaddy server is migrating the site, so I dont have backend access to check there. I am positive that I used these packages though to upload to the server!

Hi leeburstroghm,

Hmm that is odd - I'll have another dig into the code.

If it's not from a menu link how does the user get to the page? and how is the page set up to use SSL?

As I said in the previous post,
The form is loaded in the content of an article via the plugin {chronocontact}myform{/chronocontact} (I think thats the correct code, not 100% sure)

As for the https, the article is linked from the content of another article. This is an issue.!!!
Joomla has issues/problems with getting to an ssl page from a link in the body of an article.

My setup is this.

I have a menu item buy9617 (article layout, ssl is on) that is in a hidden menu, this I have a link in the body of an article, set via the JCE link that is set to that menu item!! http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=432&t=440622

Though!! I jsut had a thought, This is on a godady server, it was a shared hosting account and recently, yesterday, it is being changed to a hosting account that has a dedicated ip for use with the ssl. so!! this might all work itself out when godaddy finishes its move.. so we might want to wait until that is finished, and things just might start working again.!! that would be AWESOME, because yesterday was a big headache!

Hi leeburstroghm,

So back to that link to another thread. Is your hidden menu item set to use ssl?

Bob

As I said in multiple previous posts,

the menu item IS set to use ssl.

Hi leeburstroghm,

Sorry, I wasn't reading closely enough. I'm still bemused by how CF is failing to pick up the https prefix either from the calling URL or the page URL. Let's see if hte server change does the trick.

ok, Thanks for your help!!

server seems to be finished with its stuff, migration.. still does not work!!

in joomla backend modules I have
Chrono Contact Enabled 3.1 RC5.5 04 Aug 2009 Chronoman
backend plugin is
chronocontact content V3.1 RC5.2 03 May 2009 ChronoEngine.com

The form action is still not SSL when this url is used
https://wealthyira.com/joomla/buy9617

in the top menup, I have 2 test menuitems, test and test2.
test is a duplicate of my buy9617 menuitem that is hidden- an article layout item. SSL turned on
test2 is a chronoforms item, ssl turned on.

Neither have ssl on for the form action.. What is going on.. 🤨

Hi leeburstroghm,
Could you verify that the Submit URL setting for your form is empty?

Hi leeburstroghm,

I'm no expert on SSL but if the site is on-line and it's Ok with you please email or PM me a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Really could use some help here.
This is holding up the site launch.
is this a joomla issue or a chrono issue? Joomla oes have some issues with ssl right now. but why is the form action alwyas only just using http://

do I need to go hack the code to get my site launched.!!??

Hi leeburstroghm,

I checked with Max and apparently the Joomla code in ChronoForms doesn't work correctly.

What he suggests is that you add the with https://. . . url to the Form's OnSubmit URL box. Not ideal but it should work OK.
