Dynamic From YES - Dynamic CC NO but they're identical!?

Gday All (thanks for such a great product!)
I've used Chronoforms to get 2 basic forms working. My idea is to set both Dynamic From and Dynamic CC to the customers email. The idea is so the site owner will be able to reply directly to her email when a form is filled in. Also that the site user who fills in the form will get a copy of their email.

The dynamic from works fine but although it is the same field name no cc email is sent to the person filling out the form?

This happens in both forms even though field name for the client email is different for each form.
Other than that both forms seem to work fine. Dynamic From is working fine in both forms

SO I assumer I've made some newcomer error in config? If anyone has some suggestiosn that I sould research that would be great as its late and I'm stumped.

When I turn on Debug it shows all the processes happening ok and the field names for the client email are fine. There just isn't a CC in the email that is shown to be generated.

All ideas gratefully accepted. I can't find anything like this on the forum. Thanks for reading.

Hi Nick,

My guess is that your site mailer is set to use PHP Mail Function - for some reason or other this doesn't support CC or BCC. Try using an SMTP mailer and see if this helps.

Better to use the ReplyTo fields if you have a recent ChronoForms release.

Ok I thought trying a different mail config was a bit to far out of my tech comfort zone.

However I think I have found a better way in case it helps anyone else.

I think the best way to send a copy to the person filling out the form is to make a second email container. Click the icon on the top left of the Setup Emails tab. This will give you a second email block. I used a simple from email set to the company email. Then I used a Dynamic To email set to the form field for the email address field of the person filling out the form.

The other benefit of this approach is that you get a second email template file so you can put text in there specific to the recipient eg "thanks for filling out out the form we'll get back to you shortly".

This may be basic but I hope it helps someone else. Thanks for your help GreyHead

Hi Nick,

Yes that's a much better approach if you want to send 'different' info (and most often you do).
