E-mail Results from Chrono Form

betatype 01 Sep, 2009
I have a form created with Chrono Form on one of my Joomla sites. I was wondering if there is anyway to e-mail the results of each form page separately? I have a form with multiple pages and would like for the results of each page's form to be sent as a separate e-mail when the user clicks the "Submit" button. I have checked both the "email results" field under general settings and have setup all of the necessary e-mails.

Under "Form URLs" when I leave the "Submit URL" blank everything seems to work perfectly. However, I am trying to pass variables onto the next page of my form and would need to use the next form page's URL in the "Submit URL". Please let me know if you need clarification since it is semi-difficult to describe. I can't seem to find any answers on this.

Hi betatype,

This looks like a classic case for the Multi-Page plugin. There's a long thread about it in teh PlutIng forum.

The OnSubmit URL is behavign exactly as it should, it submits the from directly to the URL you've specified, ChronoForms never sees it and no emails are sent.

Bob,

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I have found a lot of useful information on the site about my problem. I am trying to have customers pay via PayPal after filling out the form I have created, and I have been trying to do this up to this point by putting the PayPal action URL into the "Submit URL" field for the final page of my form. After browsing the site more I see other people with the same problem and you have recommended that they use the "Redirect Module." This seems to be exactly what I need but I can't find any threads about installing/enabling the redirect module. It is not listed in my list of included modules. Where could I find this? Sorry for naive questions, I am very new at working with Joomla. Thanks for such good info!

Hi betatype,

It s a ChronoForms plugin (not a Joomal one - it's confusing that they both have the same name).

In the Forms Manager you'll see a list of Plugins in the left had column. Check the box by the form you want to add the plugin too, then click the Plugin link and you'll see a set of configuration tabs and a help tab.

When you are done Save the Plugin Config. Then open your Form and click teh Plutin Tab to enable the plugin. The Plugin Bar needs to be green for enabled (and read for disabled).
