problems loggin in after registration via chronos

tracyselena 04 Aug, 2009
Hi,
I followed the tutorial on how to make chronos my registration for (so i could add & collect some additional information). but after the person confirms their email, they are told it was successful and now to login

I have a few questions:

1) can i automatically log them in when they click the confirmation link? if so how?
2) URGENT: they are now unable to login at all (this seems like a bug i can't fix)
3) how do i get the extra bits of data i'm collecting via the form to either be sent to me or into the database
4) can i create a script that will send information to my autoresponder so they are also added into that?

Thanks so much tracy

Hi Tracy,

1) No not easily - it is possible by hacking the code but not recommended for security reasons.

2) No idea without seeing the site, and maybe not then. How long is your session set for?

3) Set the form up to email/save as usual.

4) Yes, probably the CURL plugin will do it for you.

Thanks Bob...

ok

1) i can leave this...not important...thanks
2) i just double checked it and it looks like it was using the community builder mod_cblogin..i switche it the joomla mod_login and it works fine..thanks
3) i do have the form setup to email. Email the results? is set to yes, under "setup emails" tab I have a "To:" and a "CC:" set...the first one to my autoresponder subscribe email and the cc to me personally. under email templates i've left it blank and the system automatically filled in the form fields. am i missing something..it sending an email (which looks like the default joomla notification email that i've received for years, but nothing else). is there a tutorial that goes over how to send the email and/or save to database? maybe i've missed something.
4) mixed with 3...ignore..thanks

thanks for your timely response...mucho appreciato!!

I found the tutorials for sending the emails..thank you but not need to respond to that ...thanks again!!
looks like i solved my own issues..which is usually the case...sometime you just need to verbalize them and pay attention to detail...my bad!

thanks tracy

hi bob...

i'm still trying to get the emails working.

i've got it setup properly under hte "setup email" and "emails template" tabs. according to the template.

and i've set the joomla registration plugin to send the Joomla form to the user and my custom form 1 to me (the admin), but i'm still not receiving anything.
i've check all the fields for the "setup email" tab and they are all enabled.
i've double checked for typos..and still i as admin am not receiving any emails..

i only want this to happen after the person confirms...could that be the problem.?

Hi Tracy,

Do you have enabled=1 (or 2) in the Emails column in the Forms Manager?
