Form Wizard and Email Template

After creating a form using the Form Wizard, is there a way when using the Wizard Edit to edit the form fields, to trick/update the Email Template. It appears the form changes are not carrying through to the Email Template.

Hi bkmchronoengine,

Only by having ChronoForms create a new template - it will do this if the existing template is empty. That is *completely* empty including any <p></p> or other tags that you can only see by using the 'HTML' button.

Again, thanks for the info. You guys are great.

After playing around in the form wizard, I found a work around. If you delete everything out of the email template (I just had a blinking cursor), then remove one of the fields from the setup emails box so it turns red (not sure if this step is required), then add a new field to your form layout, and then save, it will retrigger the email template default process, and repopulate the email template. If you lose the editor view in the email template, as I had did (all I could see was html)this "brings back" the editor too. (-:

Related to this, is CF using the standard joomla editor, and are there any issues with using JCE with CF?

The process sounds OK. You do need to check the editor HTML button as even an empty <p></p> tag will stop the regeneration even though it is not visble in the rich text editor. (And I think that re-saviong is enought without the need to delete a field).

ChronoForms installs it's own version of the TinyMCE editor, I don't remember the reason now, and I'm not sure exactly where it is used. Try changing your Joomla default editor and see what shows up.

Thanks for the re-saving info.

Looks like CF uses its own editor. Have JCE as default and it's not passing through.
