Hi,
I am new to Chronoforms.
I have installed ChronoForms on Joomla 1.5.11
I developed a form with public access. Features like data transfer to email are working fine. Problem is with the display. No images are displayed when viewed by visitor. Although if I access the form using link provided in joomla it works without any problems. I have attached the screen shot of the form display for reference.
Please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Please try to install RC5.3 and see if the problem still exists ?

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?
Hi Max/Bob,
I am using ChronoForm 5.2.
I feel Bob you are absolutely correct. There is some problem with links. Might be I will sound very silly but I will tell you the steps I followed to link this form, After developing ChronoForm, I went to "Menus", then I clicked "New", then from "Select menu select type" I chose Chrono forms, then on the next screen (I am attaching this screen shot) I typed the "Form Name" and "Title", And then saved it.
I dont know where I committed mistake?? Can you help me??
TIA

RBa
Hi,
this is fine, do you have a form name under the "Parameters(basic)" area ? if yes then whats the form name? is it "ask-ca" ? please try to make it "ask_ca" in both the menu page and the forms manager of course!
Let us know

Hi,
After reading your reply I thought my this reply would be a final thank you reply. But problem still persists.😟 I have changed everything (even form title to "askmyca" 🤣 ) but no positive result.
Any other thing which I can try.
Thanks a lot for time you are putting in.

Hi RBa,
As a workaround create an External URL Menu item and use the URL from the Form Manager to set it up.
There is something wrong with the site setup for the URLs though - this isn't primarily a ChronoForms problem IMHO.

Hi RBa,
I think that also disabling SEF will fix everything, but try to play with the 3 SEF options under the Joomla global config, try to apply different combinations and test it every time, the 2 index.php in the URL are because of some problem and they are the root of this issue, if you can't find why then let us know and lets arrange a temporarily login to your site so I can check it and maybe find why!
Cheers

Hi Max/Bob
THANKS A LOT to both of you.😀 😀 As Max said I made a change in SEF, Search Engine Friendly sites (I initially had made it yes) but again I have checked on No. Now all things are working very fine.
Just out of curiosity, what does "SE friendly URL's" option does? Is that option really makes a big difference to come up in search engine results?
Again thank you very very much. 😀 😀 😀 You are making web development a lot easier.
Thanks a lot.

Hi RBa,
**opinion**
There's a lot of discussion of 'Search Engine Friendly URLs' with mixed views out there. In my opinion, for small sites where the users are coming to you because it's a club or society or a school . . . they don't make much difference. (Though using them to set up people friendly links can be helpful.)
If, on the other hand, you have a site that needs to be found in the search engines like an e-commerce site of any kind. Then the more you can add 'content' to your links the better. I'm not sure that this makes so much difference in the site url itself but it does where the url is used as a link on another site.
