check0, check1 field names using wizard

fitzbeck 16 Jun, 2009
hi there

thanks for this forum, i've found many answers to many questions so far! (not this one though) Truly fantastic support.

so ...

I have a long form made using wizard. I want to keep form html untouched, so that it can be re-edited using wizard later (1) am i correct in thinking this means i can only edit it using the wizard - otherwise the custom alts will be lost?

My problem is i have several checkbox and radio fields ... wizard generates a default check0, check1 ... style field name for these. When i make a data table this name is carried through ... and isn't descriptive enough to explain the captured data.

so (2) is there a way i can customised the checkbox and radio field names while keeping the form editable using the wizard?

many thanks

Hi fitzbeck,

The answer is 'Yes' but it's a hack.

Use PHPMyAdmin (or some other similar tool) open the form record in jos_chrono_contact and find the chronocode column. You can edit the checkbox name here

CHRONO_CONSTANT_EOLname = garnish[]CHRONO_CONSTANT_EOLtheoptions = Radishes*,*Parsley*,*Chopped nutsCHRONO_CONSTANT_EOL

Save the record, then in the Forms Manager use the Wizard Edit to open the form and then re-save it. The name of the checkbox will then have changed adn all should be well.
