site somehow pointed to wrong path

tokenring 14 Jun, 2009
I have 2 installations of Joomla with my host (/joomla and /joomla2). Joomla2 is my test site that is completely isolated from /joomla

without making any changes today, I went to my production site (front end) but all of the data was from the test site. In the control panel the sites are pointing to the correct locations and the DB's look to be right also, but for some reason when I go to my live site, the data is from test.

I also can't get into the administrator module as the page can't be found. I use the Jsecure plugin for security.

???

not sure where to look???

now seeing this on the homepage

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/6/d114815883/htdocs/includes/defines.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /homepages/6/d114815883/htdocs/index.php on line 21

Hi tokenring,

The defines file is standard, you can copy it from one site to another, without it very little will work.

The data swapping over sounds like the config files are corrupt and the site databases or table prefixes are messed up.

Fixed! Configuration.php was wrong.

Thanks!

Can you tell me more about what you did to change the configuration.php? I'm getting a similar error:

Warning: require_once(/home1/localtw2/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/localtw2/public_html/components/com_chronoconnectivity/chronoconnectivity.html.php on line 49

Hi Zoomlanski,

This is a completely different problem - it looks as though you don't have ChronoForms installed and the latest releases of ChronoConnectivity require it.

Ah, ok.
Which then leads me to an intersting situation. It functually appears in my components but not listed in my extension manager.
4 Chrono Comments 1.2 6.10.2008 Chronoman
5 Chrono Connectivity 2.0 RC1 5.6.2009 Chronoman
6 Chrono Contact 3.0 STABLE 17.09.2008 Chronoman

I'll reinstall and see what happens. Still waiting on license numbers from previous purchase. That wouldn't affect it would it?

Problem solved with reinstall, yet it still does not appear in my extension manager and install/uninstall lists. Oh well.
Wow! I have a working database! Awesome!😀

Hi zoomlanski,

License numbers shouldn't make any difference. However I'm not sure how well the current releqse of ChronoConnectivity will work with the older version of ChronoForms . . . Maybe Max tested but somehow I doubt it.
