English language: where is it?

Hi,
I'd like to edit some words in the English language, for example the Read "n" comments link, but I just can't find the language file... In another post it was written to look in the language sub-directory, but I can't seem to find this sub-directory in my com_chronocomments directory. Please help!

It's in the Joomla Languages folder with a second copy in the administrator/languages folder. There are several sets of translated files in the downaloads area here that you can install.
