I am not sure what wrong. I have custom template that I am using ChronoForms, and the validation does not work and neither does the calendar picker work either. Any suggestions?

Your template is loading JQuery (actually two copies of JQuery) and JQuery is not consistent with the MooTools JavaScript framework that Joomla and ChronoForms use.
There are some fairly simple changes that you can make to get round this that were posted here a week or two ago.
