Full Form and Results being Sent by Email - Results only?

Hi Greyhead:

Long time no post. Love the new update. Amazing amazing amazing. Glad I supported this product early on.

When I get my results emailed to me, I get everything from the form, header, text boxes, results, and info bubble. Is there some way to remove all the pre-form information and only get the submitted results.

One other item, I'd like to break up the big paragraph. But the only way I found to publish that amount of large text is using multiple text boxes. Is there another way to do it. Another way to publish a large paragraph of explanatory text?

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim,

You can edit the Email template to include or exclude anything. Just use normal html with {field_name} as a placeholder where you want content.

If you use the Wizard text boxes are the only way to add text - but you can edit the resulting html in just the same way as the template. use <div> . . .</div> or <p> . . .</p> for your text. The only caveat is that edits to the Form HTML are lost if you re-edit with the Wizard - but you never 'need' to do that.

Hi Grayhead,

You wrote,

Could you explain that a bit further?
In my Form HTML, I have alot of paragraphs, <p>, that I want included in the emailed results so that when the user receives a copy of the form results, all that important information is in the email, too, and not just the different form fields.

Thanks!!!

Hi MrSchadow,

I'm not sure what else there is to say. Open the Form Editor, click the Email Template tab and edit the template. You can add any text that you like in there.

Well, I want the same stuff that's showing up in the form to be in the email.
Right now, if you go to http://www.rsinc.biz/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=forms
then there's information on that page that I want included in the email that's sent to the Agent selected and to CC the whole thing to the email entered at the top.
At the moment, when I fill it out, only the user's email, the agent, and what's in the text area is sent in the email.

So, do I need to enter all that text in the Form HTML, and then enter it all again in the Email template? Or am I making this more complicated than it should be?

thanks Bob.

Hi MrSchadow,

All of the text is already in the Form HTML so ChronoForms will automatically add it to the Email Template.

If you created a template earlier and want to update if from revised form html then you need to remove *everything* from the template (including any html that doesn't show up in the rich text editor) - then save the form and ChronoForms will generate a new template.

Ok, I see what was happening.
The email template auto fills if it's empty. Mine already had information in it when I updated the Form HTML. So I just went in and erased everything, and then it autofilled itself when I ran the form.

Thanks for your help!!!
