Error on opening and re-saving form after change

revjb 18 May, 2009
Hi,

Firstly thank you for a great component. I like the changes that you have made to the Chronoforms.

Anyhow, I am getting a consistent error on opening a form I created and trying to save the changes(I also get the same error message when I do not change anything and try to save/apply).

The error I get from FireBug is:

i is undefined
_init()()tiny_mce.js (line 1)
_init()()tiny_mce.js (line 1)
_init()()tiny_mce.js (line 1)
_init()()tiny_mce.js (line 1)
_init()()tiny_mce.js (line 1)
(?)()()index2.p...nocontact (line 455)
Checkform()index2.p...nocontact (line 452)
submitbutton("save")index2.p...nocontact (line 344)
onclick(click clientX=1062, clientY=126)index2.p...yXQ%3D%3D (line 3)
[Break on this error] var tinymce={majorVersion:"3",minorVersi...hanged();return true}return false})})();

This forces me to cancel out of my changes. The only way I can make a change is to delete the form and create it anew every time I want to update anything (which is definitely trying my patience). I hope you can help!

I am using ChronoForm 3.1 RC5, Joomla 1.5.9.

TIA.

Hi revjb,

Please try to clear all your browser cache and give it another test! if this didn't work then something may be wrong with your editor files, try to reinstall RC5, you don't need to uninstall first, only a quick install over the one existing!

Cheers

Neither has worked for the test server or the live server. I see the version of tinyMCE that you are using is 3.2.2.3. Could this be running into a conflict with the default tinyMCE implementation in Joomla 1.5.9/10?

I have patched the test server to Joomla 1.5.10 and it still have the same problem.

Hi revjb,

I think Joomla uses TinyMCE 2.x , it usually works fine, I don't think I have seen this error before but I guess its a caching or a problem with the editor, please try it in another browser with clean cache ? if it didn't work then I suggest that you check that the editor folder in the installation of Chronoforms on server is complete, try to replace it using FTP from the installer!

Regards
