I've just finished installing 5.0. My FF browser was giving me problems with Chrono (despite clearing every cache in sight/site) so I opted to uninstall 4.11 and do a fresh install.
Install went fine. Opened the wizard using FF and still (see other post) could not drag and drop any form elements. So I used Opera instead. Drag and drop worked ok. Built a form, previewed it and it looked just as it should. Saved the form.
Here's where the problem starts. Once saved I reopened the form and the text I had associated with various radio buttons and check boxes had vanished to be replaced by the word "on" everywhere there is a check box or radio button.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug in 5.0? Or is this a problem with my machine (considering drag and drop does not work in FF but does in IE and Opera and form created with wizard using Opera does not save all form text)?

Hi brownrock,
I would still say its a cache issue, browser cache or website cache, clear both, I faced the "same" problem once I installed on another test site which had RC4.11 installed, then all was fine once cache cleared correctly in Firefox :
Tools > Clear private data > check "cache" > clear now!
Cheers,
Max

Thanks Max...
Here's an update. RC 5.0 working ok in IE, but not In FF and O?
I did clear the cache (many times). What about this as a tentative explanation. My FF user.js is set up so that I can copy and paste on our sites (which disables the FF "cannot copy/paste" function when editing content on the site). I wonder if this is causing the "drag and drop" to be disabled (although can't imagine what's causing Opera to misbehave).
Anyways, I'll use IE for the time being until I figure out what's causing the behaviour.

Hi,
it should work fine in IE or Chrome so you can use any of them for now till your figure the FF issue, but I do most of my testing in FF and so I guarantee its fine!

Same here, I do everything in FF. My gut tells me this is some FF setting or something else on my machine which is causing the behaviour (maybe an FF extension or could it be an issue with Java). Anyways, in some ways I prefer coding the HTML without the wizard so I'll stop worrying about it for now.
One last remark on this topic. When I launch the wizard the area on the left, the one into which you can drag and drop the form elements turns light blue (in IE and Opera at least). In FF it doesn't. It's like the area is "dead".

Hi brownrock,
if there is a JS problem then you can expect any type of strange behavior, once the cache is cleared and problem solved everything will run smooth😉
