I'm looking for a room booking joomla component for my school website. The school runs a fortnightly timetable, 5 lessons a day. I want a facility, in the backend, where a fortnighly timetable for a room can be set-up, given that the room will, at times, be unavailable due to timetabled lessons. NOTE: week 1 and week 2 timetables are different. In the frontend, I want registered users to be able to click on a blank slot and book the room for that lesson. If the user that has booked the room wishes to click the cancel button next to the booking then only that user can do so. I would ideally like to be able to recall a history for bookings and possibly restrict the number of bookings per user over a given period.

I also want users to be able to book, at least two week in advance, however, the week 1/week 2 timetable will not always be periodic - due to half-term vacations etc.

Bookings should be real-time, since double booking the room is not an option.

Can someone please give me a quote for developing this type of component.

Hi Mark84,

I don't know of a Joomla version but MRBS is a neat, free standalone app that does exactly this. You;d be hard-pressed to beat it with a ChronoForms app. If it *must* run inside Joomal that you do it with a wrapper module I think.
