Formating time

curbina 17 Mar, 2009
I have created a form that use a separate field for Date & another for the time The date field is fine I see the date popup as it should. But I don't know how to setup the time field that when a user is on that field it will allow to enter the Time alone?

Note: When try displying my form on firefox the date and time fields are not allowing to insert any data, but in IE 7 I can see the date box.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.9 and Chronoforms V3.1 RC2

My form link: http://equatorlimo.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=67

TIA

there is no time picker yet, sorry!

Note: When try displaying my form on firefox the date and time fields are not allowing to insert any data, but in IE 7 I can see the date box.

that's because you changed the date field name, this is a bug, it will be fixed in the new RC3, for now you can go to the wizard again and change the date field name to date_8 so it matches the field id and so you pass this bug!

when you re edit the form in wizard, the validation will be turned off and also the anti spam, so you will need to make sure you have them ON again when you get back, this is also another bug which is fixed in RC3

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?

Thanks guys I was able to fix the date problem

The time field I want to change it to a text field and also add a drop down to select A.M/P.M
I don't know how to have these 2 fields next to each other e.g. Time_Field A.M._P.M._Field (11:00 A.M.)
When I insert a new field on the form wizard it goes to the next row.

Is there a option I need to set to display these 2 fields like the above sample?

TIA
Charles

P.S. This is my first try with ChronoForm

Hi Charles,

You can't do it with the Wizard but you can edit the Form HTML by hand to put the fields side by side.
