Hello dear developers ChronoForms!

Hi Dmitry,

thank you, I understand this, but its not a good idea to translate Chronoforms now without a language file, I'm planning to have this ready in V3.1 stable, so please give me sometime and this will be easier to do and helpful for everybody!🙂

Thanks!
Max

To you it is necessary files en-GB.com_chronocontact.ini?
Max_admin 03 Mar, 2009
yes, a language file is needed but its not available now but I will try to make one soon! this involves editing the PHP files too so it must be done by me!

Cheers

Hello,

We have the same problem as Dimitri.
The french Joomladay 2009 has ended (24 may) with a showcase on ChronoForms+ChronoConnectivity that have very inmpressed french people ... and after that a little team has decide to translate ChronoForms and ChronoConnectivity in French ... ouch, we have made some tries but the actual file is not ready for the J!1.5 translate format ?!?

So as you say, a file named "en-GB.com_chronocontact.ini" will be released in the v3.1 stable ?!? ... great !

We don't know when the v3.1 will go out "stable", but sure we hope we can give the "fr-FR" file before you release it !!!

So can you contact us when a draft "en-GB.com_chronocontact.ini" file is OK to be translated, so we hope to translate it in less than one week to give it to you back to include in the v3.1 stable release !!!

Max, do you think this is a good idea ?

Thank you for your awesome ChronoConnectivity ... it burns😀 !!!
(friends of mine have already developp some awesome feature with slimbox plugin, placeholder(incredible element !!!) ... )

Salut garstud,

Great to hear that your french JoomlaDay went well and that you enjoyed the ChronoForms presentation :-)

ChronoForms isn't very language friendly at the back end (the front-end is better but nearly all the language there comes from the user). I don't know if Max plans to include an ini file in his next development round - I dont think it's high priority though.

Hi garstud,

I didn't check this forum for sometime now, this is why the late reply, I'm glad you got a great presentation in the Joomladay, I want to confirm that yes, as mentioned here the V3.1 stable will have a language file for admin area, I still have some features and enhancements to add first before reaching to this stage though! most of them are related to the wizard🙂

regards,
Max

Quick fix for those impatient to wait for 3.1 stable

<input class="cf_inputbox required" maxlength="150" size="30" title="<?php print JText::_('CC_VAL_REQUIRED_NOT_BLANK')?>" id="text_1" name="FirstName" type="text" />

edit your global joomla language file eg. /language/en-GB/en-GB.ini
or whichever language you need

add line(s):

CC_VAL_REQUIRED_NOT_BLANK=This field can not be blank, never ever
etc.

My first profession is linguistics, and I like Chronoengine. 😀

So I can help to make a good translation of Chrono Forms and Chrono Connectivity from English into:
• Russian

  • Italian
  •
Let me know when the translation using *.ini shall be available.

    Hi T34,

Thanks for the offer. This is really down to Max to follow up - he's the developer. So far he hasn't written the files in a way that lends itself to using JTEXT to translate the strings.

Has there been any progress to that language issue during these last two years?

I am willing to help with a German language package. :-)
    GreyHead 21 Jul, 2013
    Hi HerKle,

    None that I know of.

Well, my offer stands. If you need something to be done in German, you know my address… Are you using transifex.com for translation?

Thanks!! I didn't hear about this service before, it looks helpful, but we usually get help from users on board here!🙂
