Automatic Recurring Billing
I am working on a site where I need 2 forms - one for one-time donations, which I have working, and one for recurring donations. Is there a way to implement the ARB feature of authorize.net with chronoforms? Thank you for your help.
Not very helpful I'm afraid. The answer to your question is undoubtledly 'Yes' you can do it. But, I've no idea how without going digging into the Authorize.net manuals and the PlugIn code.

As Bob said, we need to see some info from the Authorize.net API on how to make a recurring sale, can you look for this and supply us with the info ?

Max
They have a PHP example as well.
Edit: Let me know if you want the AEC ARB code. I can give you AEC's standard Authorize.net code and ARB code for comparison.
Ok, I will look into it after the new Chronoforms release is out!

The Authorize.Net Customer Information Manager (CIM) allows you to store your customers’ sensitive payment information on our secure servers, simplifying payments for returning customers and recurring transactions. It can also help you comply with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, since customer data is no longer stored locally.
CIM is an ideal tool for businesses that need to securely save customer data and provide convenience for their customers.
* Process Recurring Transactions - You bill your customers different amounts or on different days each month. (e.g. utility companies)
* Process Usage Charges - You bill your customers only when the service is used. (e.g. pay-as-you-go cell phones)
* Provide Payment Flexibility - Your customers can store multiple payment methods for repeat purchases.
Quantum Gateway has two similar services, Recurring Center and QuantumVault.
I'd probably be willing to contribute some cash towards an ARB/CIM or Recurring Center/QuantumVault plugin.

A related authorize.net service is Customer Information Manager This is extracted from authorize.net's description:

I will look into this too!🙂

I appreciate your response to my post. Would it be possible to provide a sense of likelihood and timing?
[Shameless plug] I suspect that the value-add of this plugin could be a major income driver for Chronoengine. Many of us need sophisticated transaction abilities, but not the overhead of a full blown cart like Virtuemart and Zen Cart. Throw in the ability to easily create a one page replacement for Add to Cart and checkout functionality, which reduces lost sales considerably, and you have a very compelling combination. [/Shameless plug]
Thanks,
Bob
No problems, we are continuously trying to improve Chronoforms and add extra functionality and enhancements, I will check this soon and add it if possible, I can't give a "specific" time now, but I add all good suggestions in a todo list, however if you are in rush then please send me through the contact us page and I will have some extra ideas.

Max
You may try to compare the code example given by Authorize.net to the core Authorize.net Chronoforms action and do the necessary changes ? I don't think it will be very complicated.
Otherwise you may contact me through the "Contact Us" page and I will try to find what I can do here.

Max
