Connecting Fields to Tables

kpretsch 20 Jan, 2009
I'm a nube, I can admit it.

So I enabled DB connectivity, Db storage is set to yes and I have selected my created table to save into, and I created a table for my form. My form has 5 fields, (we'll arbitrarily call them text_1, text_2, text_3, select_11, and text_4)

I then went into the table, and created it so that it has these additional columns and I set their names in data view record as such text_1,text_2,text_3,select_11,text_4, when people submit this form the default columns in the table such as user, date-time, etc fill up but the other entries are still blank.

Any thoughts?

Hi kpretsch,

I don't know - finding it hard to follow what you did.

Did you create the table with the 'Create Table' icon in the Forms Manager?

Do the field names in the form *exactly* match the column names in the table?

Are the same details in the two boxed of field name and field type below the AutoGenerated code?

Most of this is handled automatically by ChronoForms so it's a bit hard to tell what's broken.
