Cannot Uninstall Chronoforms - Solved
Hi lukacst,
Then something has gone wrong with a previous install or uninstall.
Go to your site by FTP. Find and delete the administrator/components/com_chronocontact and the components/com_chronocontact folders and any remaining contents. NB the default.ttf file can be tricky, on one occasion I had to stop the server to unlock this one.
There are also files in the language folders but I think they can be left.
Backup the database and then drop any ChronoContact or ChronoForms tables.
Open the jos_components table, find the com_chronocontact row and delete it.
Try the installation again.

This was really dissapointing, as I did a plain vanilla install on GoDaddy of Joomla 1.5.8 and installed Chronoforms normally, using the standard installer... I think I will just start over from scratch as I don't want any corruption on my site.
Hi lukacst,
deleting the 2 component folders with the name "com_chronocontact" will not do any problems, after you delete them, just go and try to uninstall, if it said "uninstall success + reported some errors that it can't find the directories" then you are fine and can make a new fresh install of chronoforms now!

I only installed from the 'components' sub folder at http://www.chronoengine.com/downloads/folder/3-Chronoforms%20Files%20for%20J1.5.html, and did not install the module files or mambot files. Is there an installation guide? Anyway, Idecided to wipe the slate clean and start over again, will enter forms some other way. I've asked GoDaddy to test the Chrono Forms install.
Ok, let me know how the new one will go!

Max
