help a very confused newbie! so here's a short story (the long vesion!).
i'm setting up my own business, a motorcycle training school in West Sussex, UK. i was in need a of getting a complete website created but after having bought a hosting package i discovered the wonders of joomla! now that i discovered how easy that is to do basically what i want i decided i wanted to be able to take online bookings & secure payments for courses. i tried to find an extension that would do this but couldn't find one that did all i wanted so started to research getting an extension built specifically for my needs! late one night (early morning) half asleep, dazed & confused i found chronoforms, not knowing what it was thought i'd have a look as a distraction from the pain of banging my head against the preverbial brick wall! it was then that i found this forum & thought maybe i dont need an entire extension built i can do what i want using forms🙂 however, like i said i'm a complete newbie with zero skills in any kind of programming or anything. so here's a what i need and would very much like to now what its going to cost!
front end
each article on my site relates to a course with the price & book now link! this link need to go to the form where a series of questions need to be answered by the customer! depending on which answer they give will depend on what comes next, efectively a flow chart with multiple routes. some of the questions will require popup boxes with information that requires verification of a tick box. it will also require a calender that the customer can choose the date they want to attend the course on. contact & address details will also need to be gathered, once all the information has been gathered a "pay now" or "deposit" option with link to secure paypal merchant account with a fixed payment. once all is done an email will be sent to both the customer & me confirming the booking.
back end
i need to able to set the amount of spaces on courses & motorbikes available (i have more bikes than spaces). i also need to be able block out unavailable dates manually. the system also needes to update itself automatically, i.e. if i have 3 spaces & 4 bikes available once the 3rd space has been taken the date in the calender is no longer available to be booked, it will also need a simple captcha to prevent false bookings. further more to this it will also need to cross reference between a database of bookings for other courses so that i'm not running to different courses on the same day!

my hosting package is with hostpapa, its a shared hosting package (if that makes any difference!)
anyway, i'd like this done a.s.a.p so please get your thinking hats on and get back to me if this can be done!

Interesting problem :-) It's certainly possible, I thought it was quite straightforward until I opened your Word document and looked at the flow-chart!!!!
As I see it there are three linked elements here:[list]The 'structured' form that will use a fair amount of custom JavaScript Managing the Calendar/bookings where you need an admin capability Managing the payment (which is possibly the simple part). [/list]
I'll give this some thought and email or PM you a quotation later today, there's quite a bit of custom work involoved so I'm afraid that it won't be cheap.
Max is only on-line intermittently at the moment, I'm sure that he will also be in touch once he's had a chance to take a look.

I'm busy nowadays trying to make a new release for Chronoforms by the new year but will be able to help if anybody has any problems!
