Hi Max,
I tried to use the submitcontent form for users to add contents. I can only receive the notification email but the content didn't show up in the category. I have already set the sectionid and catid at the "onsubmit after email" box. Did I miss some settings? I am using V3.0 stable, V0.8 mambot and J1.5
Thanks in advance
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
The content will be added but it will be unpublished, did you check it in the admin area ? did you add a valid section and cat ids ?

Yes I have checked the content manager but there is no new one there, I am sure I have set up the section and category. the section and cat ids are just "1".
and do you have section with id 1 and category with id 1 ? are you sure ? how do you know this ?

from the section manager and category manager, on the right hand side there is "ID" indicated there, it isn't the true id for them?
Its, so now I'm sure you are adding the correct ids, do you have a redirect url ? if so remove it and tell me what do you see after the form is submitted ?

No, I don't set any redirect link, I just used the default setting in "onsubmit after email" box, which is "Thank you for submitting your testimonial, we will review it shortly and if approved it will be published!"
and here is my received email after the form is post: (I have deleted some words from the template)
Title:test
testimonial body: display( 'fulltext', '' , '80%', '350', '55', '20', false ) ; ?>
Your name:dns
BTW, do I need to buy a lisence to use it correctly?
Hi acy277,
You don't need a license to get this working, it should work fine out of the box! did you change any other settings in the form ? did you turn OFF the DB connection or changed the table selection there ?

Hi Max,
I got it work finally. I just realized that I need to select the #__content table in the DB connection tab.
Thank you very much for your time.
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
glad its working now, but this selection should be there by default! I guess you have unselected it mistakenly.😉
regards
