Radio buttons do not 'turn on' in CF 8.0.28

nzampella 01 Dec, 2024

Hi,I've had to recreate a CF5 form as it did not fully get imported through v6, then into v8.   While doing so, I noticed that the radio button does not fully 'turn on', that it the circle does not darken when selected.    The debug window shows that the correct item was selected, but for the user there is no visual confirmation that the button was selected.----- side issue-----As an aside, while I was testing the rest of the form, everything else was working as expected.     I then saw that there was a 8.0.29 update to CF8 showing in the J! update.  So I installed that, but then that caused an error when I tried to edit the form.  I didn't get a screenshot of the error, as I panicked and reinstalled v8.0.28 which worked ok.   I am somewhat hesitant to install the update as I've been working on upgrading J! on the website for the past few days.   Once I get a good backup of the site, I'll let the install go through.

Any info on what the error when saving the form said ?

Regarding the radios, any images to show the issue ? or a form backup ? it may be affected by a CSS on your website

Hi Max,I was moving to a 'live test site'  when the error happened as I was trying to open the form for editing.  I realize now that I had some sleep that I didn't have the validation to use the 'validated' functions, and I can't as its not going to be the final domain, nor the local WAMP instance I use for my development.    That said, if it happens again, I'll get as much info as possible. As far as a screen cap showing the buttons, see below.    In the first pic, I had selected an item on the 'first' line, but as you can see nothing registers now.  On the second you can see the mouse and a 'blue circle' where I just selected something there. The second pic shows what I saw on the browser console.Neil
