I've been using CF5 for way too long, now I am trying to upgrade to CF8.
I've figured there is no direct way to update, so I installed CF6 along CF8 and imported my CF5 backup into CF6, which worked fine. Then I exported my (new) CF6 forms as backup and thought it would do the same magic thing in CF8. But when I upload it to CF8, it just returns to the main page without any error or success messages and also sadly without any forms.
I am doing anything wrong?
Btw running Joomla 5 nowadays.

The importer in v8 is not yet complete, so importing v6 or 7 forms will not work, but this is on the todo list
to go from v5 to v8 you can install v7, import v5 forms there then backup v7 forms and import in v8
