Editor Stripping Out url's in email template

blugreen 15 Sep, 2008
Hi.

Just started on V3....nice work team.

I am wanting to insert an image in the email as a header. Was able to do it in V2 but it seems the editor in V3 removes the URL.

I have set "URL's" to Absolute in the TinyMCE plugin config and also set "Code Cleanup on save" to Never but it keeps stripping them out.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Hi Mark,

The editor in CF is not joomla editor so changes in the plugin will not work, V3.0 stable is on the way with editor/no editor switcher for the email template, I have no fix for your problem with V3 beta now.

Hey.

Thanks for the reply.

Found a fix in the admin file...was able to change the params of the editor to work.

Thanks again.

I wish someone would expand on this fix in the admin. The only thing keeping me from implementing the forms engine is my inability to use absolute references to images in my e-mails due to URL stripping.

Hi phishbohn,

Go to the Email Setup tab, select your email, then in the Properties tab set 'Use HTML Editor' to NO. Click Apply there, then Apply the whole form. If you now go to the Email template tab you should have a plain text editor.

Well... that was relatively simple.

:) thanks a lot.
