Database Created Not Visible, Subsequent Failures

LynnFredricks 06 Sep, 2008
We've been using ChronoForms on our Joomla 1.x site for about 1.5 years. We have beta 2 installed on a new Joomla 1.5 site and the upgrade experience has been a very unhappy one.

I took our old HTML code and put it into the new form. This form displays correctly when I do a test run.

CF reports that emails are disabled. As far as I can see, they are properly entered, but as everything is moved around from the previous version I wonder if I missed it. I ran a test run and the form seemed to work, except nothing was mailed.

But that's not what I want to do.

I want to have the information stored in the database.

So this is what I did. I selected the form, and hit Create Table. Selected all fields, then saved.

Two things didnt happen.

1. Nothing has appeared in the "Tables Connected" field in Form Administration.

2. A subsequent try to create a db resulted in an "it already exists" error.

So Im guessing a database was created, but it hasnt appeared.

When I simply tried to import the original form from the other site, it generated errors.

Id appreciate some help with this - yes, I have paid my registration fee 😀

Hi Lynn,

Welcome back, it has been 1.5 years so things changed!🙂

for the email issue I suggest you get the email setup tutorial from the downloads area and read it for full details!

for the table creation, you have already created one, now open your form and at the DB connections tab, set it to YES and choose your table, it will be jos_chronoforms_yourformname by default

let me know
