Show/Hide works in Admin not in Front end. Chronoforms 7 validated

wallyhowe 19 Mar, 2022
I have a form that uses a dropdown to show and hide a container. It works great in Admin view so I bought a licence and validated the domain.
The Show/Hide is not working on the front end view but still works fine on the Admin view.
The domain I validated was XXXXXX.co.uk. The development site is a sub-domain eval.XXXXXX.co.uk but Chronoforms 7 validated fine.
Do I need to buy a seperate licence for this sub domain?
Have I missed some other setting?

Hi Wallyhowe,

Sounds to me that there may be a JavaScript error of some kind on the front end that is preventing the show/hide from working.

Thanks Bob. Sounds likely.
In the meantime I tried switching templates. I use Ocular but switched to Protostar and it worked. Tried Beez3 and it stopped working.
So at least I now have two things to go on (unless someone knows what may be a relevant difference between Protostar and Beez3.)

Hi

It's an javascript interference between CF7 and some templates. I've said to the admin...

What template are you using?

I am using Ocular.
It works with Prorostar when I tested with tthat but not with Beez3.
Thanks for your interest Colnem, Javascript is not my area of expertise.

Hi

In your template folder, have you a file like this:
/templates/your_template/js/bootstrap.bundle.min.js
?

I have:
bootstrap.js
bootstrap.min.js

Info on bootstrap.min.js:
* ===================================================
* bootstrap-transition.js v2.1.0
* http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/javascript.html#transitions

Ok

Rename bootstrap.min.js , for example like _bootstrap.min.js, and try...
If bootstrap.min.js is necessary to open your page, rename just before use CF7 and refresh your page (F5)...

Thanks for the suggestion Colnem. Tried it but with same result I'm afraid.
