How dow I restore CF4 events

qamar0786 15 May, 2021
Hello,

I had a recent high demand on my website so enabled Joomla System
Caching but that stopped my CF4 working.
I have now disabled Joomla System Caching so I could use CF4
form, but it appears blank!
I had a look at the admin page (form wizard) and the form preview
is still there but all the Event entries (with settings and custom code) has disappeared.
Does anyone know how to restore the form events please? Any
help will be much appreciated!
PS.
I am still using CF4 as it has all the features I need, which were removed from
future CF6 (eg image resize, tooltip for mobile etc).

Hi qamar0786,

Have you cleared the site and browser caches?

Hi Bob,
No, I didn't before but I have done it now (Clear Cache & Clear Expired Cache).
It has not made any difference - CF4 form Events are still missing.
Are there anything else I can do to get my form working?

Hi qamar0786,

I don't understand why changing cacheing would would remove events from your form :-(

If you have a site backup you could try restoring the ChronoForms table from there. But backup your existing forms first.

Hello,
Can anyone advise me WHERE or WHICH table CF4 saves the On-Load/On-Submit Events (see image attached) so I can extract the deleted code from an old database backup, please?
I am really struggling to fix my broken (well used/trusted) form and need help!
