I'm trying to understand how the log data on/off button in the setup works in v6.1. I was thinking it was a shortcut for saving form data to a data base (in prior releases, I would have to create the table, entering lengths for the fields etc.)
I tried the demo form for uploading 2 files, and the data did get stored as I would like. I looked at the action part of the form but didn't see any default action that would save data to a database - seemed to be happening by magic. 🙂
Then I added a PayPal redirect action to the form, but now the data no longer gets stored in that table. (Redirect to paypal happens, emails happen... just no save to DB).
If I manually add a database save action to my submit button, as in prior Chronoforms releases, my data does get saved to a table.
But I am struggling to understand what the "log data" on/off button is supposed to do? Couldn't find any FAQ or help text for it - did I miss something?
Thanks for your help!
