Error: Please provide all the required info

jj135 12 Apr, 2019
We have a form with the (serverside?) validation event 'Validate Fields' enabled. But this just won't allow me to send the form. I keep getting this error: "Error: Please provide all the required info"

'Validate Fields' is added tot the 'submit' part of the form setup tab.

For testing purposes we have tried selecting 'Only the list of fields entered below' and added just one field. We know for sure there is a value added tot this field, we see this in the debugger data. We even tried a hidden field with a 'fixed' value and only added this to the fields to validate. But still we get the error.

Is there anything I can do to get this working?
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Hi jj,

Did you enable the "Validate fields" under the settings tab and also added a "Vsalidate fields" action ? if yes then please remove the action as the global setting is just to replace the atcion!

Hi Max,

Sorry about all the (same) attachements...

When I create a new (advanced) form I do see the Advanced settings...

I think this might be causes by the fact we imported an older CF5 form into CF6?

Is there a way to create a new form, but somehow copy the fields from the imported form to the newly created form?

I do have to get used to then new way CF6 works ;-)

Ok, that's classic form and it does not have the new settings so there should be no conflict!

Can you reproduce the issue with another test form ? please try to copy the one you have and remove some fields and test, if it has the same issue then please attach it here!

Ok, so there is 'easy mode' (without the option to start a form in easy mode for now..), 'Advanced mode' (default now) and also 'classic mode' for imported forms from CF5?

I will try a copy as you suggested and get back to you.

Ah, OK. I did notice the difference in tabs... I have to familiarize myself with the 'pages' setup a bit more.

I have copied the form and tested it. Now it seems to work OK! Wow. Wish I had tried that before ;-)

Anyway it looks like this issue is soved now. Thanks.
