How to Disable Compulsory Fields to Allow a Previous Button to Work

indieben 17 Dec, 2018
Hi,

I have created a previous button using "previous" as the class but I have found that any fields that have been made mandatory do not allow for the previous button to work without all of those boxes having been completed. I have attempted to use disable validation but there needs to be an identifier, is there an identifier for the whole form (and if so what would be the syntax) or is this a bug and is there any workaround?

Many thanks.

Do you mean in a multi page form, or a Partitions Area?

Hi healyhatman,

Firstly, please let me apologise about the ill feeling and differences in opinion in a different post and i'd like to thank you for your help previously and for responding to this post too.

To illustrate the issue better, if you go to https://www.samspencerit.co.uk/index.php/web-design-development select business option, go to tab 2 and you'll find previous button won't work unless all of the compulsory fields are completed.

The way I see it, people using the form might jump in front or want to preview the form without completing a further section first.

Thanks.
