view connection: new row generated, but fields are blank

fkb 07 Mar, 2016
Hi,

When I click view connection (admin view) I see blank fields. It generates a new row each time I fill in the form, but they contain no info.

About two hours ago the rows were filled correctly but all of a sudden the newly entered data isn't displayed anymore. I don't know what caused this, I can't remember changing the settings .. I've double checked every settings but I just don't see it..

the connection is published, the model has a name, I assigned a table, the columns list is correct:

contactformulier.id:ID
contactformulier.title:Title
contactformulier.Voornaam:Voornaam
contactformulier.Naam:Naam
contactformulier.E-mail:E-mail
contactformulier.Land:Land
contactformulier.PostcodeBE:PC
contactformulier.PostcodeBL:PC
contactformulier.PostcodeFR:PC
contactformulier.PostcodeDE:PC
contactformulier.PostcodeAndere:PC
contactformulier.Stad:Stad
contactformulier.Straat:Straat
contactformulier.Nummer:Nummer
contactformulier.Bus:Bus
contactformulier.TelefoonBE:Tel
contactformulier.TelefoonNL:Tel
contactformulier.TelefoonFR:Tel
contactformulier.TelefoonDE:Tel
contactformulier.TelefoonAnder:Tel
contactformulier.BTW:BTW
contactformulier.Bericht:Bericht
contactformulier.Kijkboek:Kijkboek
contactformulier.LerenKennen:LerenKennen

In the connected form I added a "DB save" . The database is generated, the confirmation maisl are being send out correctly... What am I missing?

Could someone from chronoengine maybe check the backend or something? thanks!

Hi den_dhaeze,

Does the DB Save have contactformulier set as the Model ID? That may be the problem if no data is being saved.

Hi,

Did you check the CCv5 section under the FAQs here:
http://www.chronoengine.com/faqs.html

In default CC setup there should be no "db save" in your form, the connection takes care of saving the data.

Hi,

after an hour of trying different settings I managed to make it work again. But I kept getting "acces denied" after submitting the form, allthough the data was displaying well in the backend of chronoconnectivity. I thought it might have got something to do with the permissions for the frontlist, so I tried some other setting. And now I'm having the same problem all over again, my rows are empty again, and I don't know what caused it...

I checked the FAQ, but I don't really know where to look.

I deleted the db save. And it worked well for a while. It has something to do with the settings inside chronoconnectivity.

Hi den_dhaeze,

I tried to login to the site admin but get
Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Under "Front list" > "Permissions", set the groups you want to permit to "Allowed" and set everything else to "not set", this should be for the "index", "view", "edit", "save".

Hi admin,

Actually I don't want a front list, I only want the results to appear in the backend. But they don't appear in the backend either. Should I set everything to "not set" then, for the the front?

@Greyhead, can you try again? Should work now.

Ok, but do the same for "admin list", you may find this FAQ helpful:

Hi Bob,

I have the same problem. New row generated, but fields are blank.

I set in the form:
- Save under Model ID: NO (if I set to YES, i have all empty fileds in DB)
- Multi save: NO
- Model ID: Data (default name)
- Force Save: NO

In the Chronoconnectivity set:

Display type: Table

Column list:

Data.nome:nome
Data.cognome:cognome
Data.email:email
Data.professione:professione
Data.localita:localita

I respect the small and capital letters of course.

Please read the following tutorial carefully:
http://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/72-ccv5/5208-connectivity-edit-with-chronoforms.html

No "DB Save" action is needed when working with connectivity.

Thanks for reply!

I have read the FAQ carefully, but with no results.

I get "•Saved Successfully" but the DB is empty, the view in front/admin is empty.

Anyway, I want only to display a filtered report of a database (all user put data with the form in a database and then i want another form -> password field -> filtered report of database). Maybe there is another and more simple solution with ChronoForms directly?

Thanks, saddys

Could you get CC to display the list of records correctly ?

You can use a form with a "db save" to add records to the database, but the tutorial above should be easy to follow.
