Warning: chmod() has been disabled for security reasons

efh68 02 Dec, 2015
I am getting the warning below when I submit my from. Everything seems to work fine, is there a way to hide the warning?

Warning: chmod() has been disabled for security reasons in /apps/mounts/www/virtualhosts/www.regenmed.vetmed.vt.edu/libraries/cegcore/libs/upload.php on line 33

I have talked with my hosting provide, below is his response to the warning.

Yes - chmod is disabled, but I've seen this for others. I don't think that's an actual error, but instead it's a warning. However, it has permissions to do what it needs. What access does it think needs to be set for that file? Right now, the access is set to -rw-rw-r--

Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,

Please try setting the Error Reporting in the site Global Configuration to System Default or to None, that should hide PHP Notices and Warnings.
