Hi. I want to use a Category as support tickets system. This means I want to allow registered users to create topics, but to allow them to answer only own topics. So no users can post to a non-his/her topic in the forum/category.
On the other hand, I want other categories/forums to work as a normal forums, so all users can reply to any topic.
The global permissions have Owner setting.
But a Category or a Forum permissions page doesn't have this option.
Is this a bug or some limitation, which cannot be avoided?
Thanks.

Hi Gruz,
A Category/Forum doesn't have an "owner", the option exists in global permissions but it wouldn't affect anything.
You need to configure the "Post replies" permission under forums, but it doesn't support "owner", which is a little limitation.

Max

What do you mean "owner" doesn't affect? I've managed to configure my forum, so that only SuperUsers and the owener can reply to a topic. A regular user, who is not the topic creator a topic, cannot post replies to the topic. And you say it shouldn't work. Do I miss something?
Thank you.
Thank you.
And how was that ? using the global permissions section ?
