I'm hoping that you know more than me about electronic signatures. The form I need to create is a government form which requires either a digital signature or electronic signature. I've learned that for a digital signature a 3rd party (like DocuSign) would have to be used and would make it much more difficult to use the site since the user would have to create an account on the website, then have to create another account with the 3rd party. According to the regulations on the form, it can also be electronically signed. I haven't been able to get a lot of info on the web about electronic signatures, but supposedly they're less secure. I'm wondering if, by using the signature pad, and inserting the image produced from the pad into the PDF (the end result)... if that would constitute a valid electronic signature. In which case I can use Chronoforms for this (and will definitely buy a license from you).
I've tried and tried to get a hold of the government office that's supposed to respond to this type of issue with the form I'm trying to create (called like 10 times, left messages, etc.), but apparently U.S. airline maintenance/safety is not a big concern of our government. Anyway, I hope you don't think I'm wasting your time with this question, but I can't seem to get any answers from anywhere else... and I thought since you've created the signature pad that you might be familiar with this type of thing.
Thanks in advance, Bob.
