Posting multiple form fields to an Article

awlee89 25 Aug, 2015
Hi,

I have recently installed ChronoForms for a freelancing job. The current version of ChronoForms (v5) allows us to submit up to 2 fields of content into an article (introtext and fulltext) however I require 3 fields to be posted into an article. I have tried using the method(s) described in this article: http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/posts/f2/t87848.html but it haven't been able to get it working properly thus far as I am only a novice at PHP.

Also, according to the php error log, this is what is going wrong:
PHP Fatal error: Cannot access protected property RuntimeException::$code in C:\xampp\htdocs\yourvoices-joomla\templates\yourvoicestemplatebyalexlee\error.php on line 14

Thanks in advance

Hi Alex,

An article only has those two elements of content. If you want to post several bits of information from your form then you have to combine them together into article text before the Submit article action.

As far as I can tell the error is from something in the template code - but it could be resulting from from some 'bad' PHP you've used. The forum post you've followed is quite old now an both CF and Joomla! have had some changes.
