Hi. Im new to the whole joomla, chronoforms thingy.
I have a problem with a form Im currently testing, it cant send emails with details and such. All I get is this:
Mailer Error: SMTP connect() failed.
My Joomla server settings:
Send mail -> Yes
Mailer -> SMTP
From email -> [my working gmail adress] ******@gmail.com
From name -> CODEX
Disable Mass Mail -> No
SMTP Authentication -> Yes
SMTP Security -> SSL
SMTP Port -> 465
SMTP Username -> [my working gmail adress] ******@gmail.com
SMTP Password -> [my working gmail password]
SMTP Host -> Smtp.gmail.com
My Chronoforms settings:
Mailing method -> SMTP
SMTP Security -> ssl
SMTP Host -> Smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Username -> [my working gmail adress] ******@gmail.com
SMTP Password -> [my working gmail password]
SMTP Debug -> 4
I also have full debug log that appears when I send my form, but Im not sure if I can just post it as I dont know if it contains any vulnerable.

Hi taro8,
Please remove the ChronoForms mail settings - the Joomla! ones should work OK - and see if that fixes the problem

I have solved the problem.
The issue was in configuration of the google account itself. You have to allow apps and insecure apps to acess and send mails through your google account, otherwise you get the "Mailer Error: SMTP connect() failed." error, even if everything is set up correctly.
