Bug with form creation using a Mac

pschmehl 14 Jul, 2015
I installed Chronoforms yesterday. I started creating my first form and ran into a problem. When editing settings, I tried to set the values for an external database but did not find a field for username or password. I was unable to scroll down, and there was no scrollbar on the right. I'm using a Macbook Pro running Yosemite (OS X 10.10.4).

The default setting on modern Macs is to hide the scrollbar until you start to mouse down. When I tried to do that, even after clicking in the edit window, the focus was still on the main screen rather than the edit window.

I changed the setting for the scrollbar to always on, and the scrollbar appeared and the edit window worked as expected.

Hi pschmehl,

Thanks for the info, I'm a PC user and I think that Max is too. We do have many Mac users and I haven't seen this reported before so it doesn't seem to be a common problem.

The problem is that the focus is not on the popup but on the page it came from. It's fixable by setting scrolling to always on, but the default behavior of Macs is for scrolling to be off. I'd be interested in hearing from other Mac users if they see this problem as well.
