Hi there.
I just tested the comments component on my test site and i must say... i love it. There is only one thing i'm missing.
I'm gonna use the comment component on an news site and i don't want people to comment on older articles because nobody will read those comments and in that case it's only unnessaceary spoiled space in the sql database. So i would like to ask if there is an modification i can make so that people can not comment after (let's say) 7 day's after the article is published.
If there isn't an modification i can make i would like to submit it as an feature request for the component. It's the only thing why i'm not using the component right now. For the rest of the component is must say it's very nice, compact and clean... just like it should be.
PS: Pardon my french, i'm dutch😉

Any idea when this version will be released?
And thanks for implementing this feature request.

That would be great, in the meantime i'll convert my current comment template to chronocomments and share it with the rest of the community.
By the way, maybe it's also an idea to do some w3c validation. At this moment the component generates an lot of validation errors. If needed i can fix most of the errors and send you the modified code so you can use that in an new release.
edit--------
i Fixed most errors (missing alt tags), the only one i havent fixed is the duplicate id for the captcha, example on my test site

Here are my fixed template files (see attachement). The only thing i can't fix is the error that is generated by the captcha ID. but you can see that error live in the website i posted earlier.
Thank you!

Not yet, if everything went well and I finished the new version of Chronoforms later this week as expected then I should start at V1.3 just after that!

Just kicking an older thread i started an long time ago....
Is there any news on the 1.3 release? Currently i'm not using an comment system because i wanted to use chronocomments (with pro licence) because it's an nice comment system but it seems like the whole chronocomments development is stopped because the latetst update whas an looooooong time ago.
So before i install another comment system is there anyone who can say if there will be an update soon and i should wait installing another comment system?

Hi Reind,
Max has said that he'd work on ChronoComments again after the new releases of ChronoForms and ChronoConnectivity. My sense is that most of the work on the other two components is now done so hopefully ChronoCommrnts isn't to far away. But I have no idea exactly how long that will be.
