It has come to my attention that Chronoforms V5, as I suspected, doesn't use the Joomla mailer to generate and send emails (thanks GreyHead!).
As a feature suggestion, it might be greatly beneficial/helpful to allow us the option to send emails via the Joomla email method as well as the default Chronoforms v5 action. It's already possible to define separate SMTP server settings if necessary within the component. Using the Joomla mailer would be greatly helpful for those of us using other components to style/track our outgoing emails.
