Error when enabling validation in IE

panzerknacker 29 Feb, 2008
I have Joomla 1.5.1 installed and the newest version of Chronoforms. The form itself and Captcha works fine. However, when I enable validation, an error is immediately generated when I load the page in Internet Explorer.

The error is as follows:

Line : 2435
char: 29
Error 'undefined' is null or not an object
code:0
Link: Secrets2Beauty

Could someone please help me resolve this? I would like to use verfications on fields.<br><br>Post edited by: panzerknacker, at: 2008/02/29 04:19

Hi panzerknacker,

There's a known problem with validation in ChronoForms with Joomla 1.5. ChronoForms uses the Prototype JavaScript Framework and Joomla 1.5 load the Mootools framework. This results in frequent conflicts.

ChronoForms for Joomla 1.0.x has a Mootools option that shoudl resolve this. We're waiting for a new release from Max for Joomla 1.5.

That said one or two people here have posted fixes that they have used to put Mootools based validation into ChronoForms.
