Cannot edit events

Hello,

I've run across a couple of problems:
Problem 1. When I go to "Setup" tab and click "Edit" on any event the popup comes up but the screen is dark as seen in this image:

Problem 2. When I click in an area (say to select a table), the popup goes away and the administration panel locks up until I refresh my browser as seen in this image:

I do not have this problem using Chronoforms v 4. I can edit as usual.

Any ideas as to what is causing this? My guess is there is some conflict with the template I'm using but before I go to the developers I wanted to find out more about how CFv5 operates in case it is a template issue and not a CF v5 issue.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi chris,

It looks as though you are using a standard Joomla! admin template which should be OK.

If you have any security or admin manager Joomla extensions enabled they may cause problems.

And please see this FAQ

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply. I looked over the FAQ and it does not seem to apply here. I had at one time created the edit_equipment form using CFv5 and had no problems. The template it says I'm using for the administrator is isis, which as you pointed out is a standard Joomla template. The only thing I can think of is that I have changed front end templates and am using Rockettheme's Audacity. All the front end components work fine. I have noticed that when i use the "Inspect Element" tool, the blackness is caused by
.modal-backdrop, .modal-backdrop.fade.in {
    opacity: 0.8;
}

When I uncheck the box in the tool, the black goes away. However, I still cannot access the popup. When I click on it it goes away. The FAQ you referred to addresses what happens if you have too many inputs which I'm not even close to having too many ("If max_input_vars is set it needs to be at least 1000 and possibly 2,000 or 3,000 or more if you use large forms.").

I really want to start using CF5 verses CF4. Do you have any other ideas? Any other admin templates I could install to see if indeed the template is causing a conflict (maybe something got corrupted - I'm grasping at straws here).

Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi chriso0258,

By all means email or PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Hi chriso0258,

Sorry but I can't immediately see the problem. I can use CSS to bring the Edit window to the front - but you still can't save any changes. I checked the page and there are no obvious errors anywhere.

I did notice that you have an Admin Tools extension installed; I suggest that you try disabling that. ChronoForms is a complex component and anything that affects the default admin layout or operation might cause problems.
