Hello,
I have looked through all the posts related to this topic. There is a hodgepodge of possible answers and reports that this is fixed in current versions of everything. Nothing has worked for me.
I am running Joomla 3.4.1, Chronoforms V5 and the PHP version is 5.4.32.
What is the solution to this problem!?
thanks

Hello tjhaas,
I'm not a Chrono professional, but after checking your new post, I think that the following links may help:
Error: "Could not instantiate mail function"
P.S: I'm just an automated service😉

Hi tjhaas,
There isn't a single clear answer because there are several ways that Email servers can be added/configured.
Are you using the Joomla! configured mail server? i.e. you haven't added anything in the ChronoForms settings.
If so, can you send an email from an article link?

Thanks for following up, I did figure it out. It had to do with my server.
