trying to get Display Message to work in v5

I am trying to get the Display Message action to work in v5 on an email submit. The form simply redisplays the original page without the message.

I think it is a similar problem described here: http://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/57-cfv4/cfv4-actions/2653-how-can-i-show-a-thanks-message-if-i-use-the-plug-in-or-module.html

but this is for v4 and I am not sure how to do this on v5 as I cannot convert the Custom Serverside Validation code to something that works with the Event Switcher in v5.

I don't understand your problem (in practical terms) in theory I think I realized.
You can post the link of the form, so I test it?

When you click submit it should come back with a 'Thank you' message - but instead it just reloads the original page - which you will see when you submit the form.

I didn't see it hidden away in the middle of the text! I was expecting something like Chronoforms 3 where the whole page was reloaded with just the the thank you text.

I will pace it out and make it bigger - thank you. Sometimes it just needs a second pair of eyes.🙂

I believe that you have your form inside an article, so it will show the article plus the message.
You right, some times, some times it's just a other look, we that are always see the same result, some times don't see what is next front of us :p
