How to show "All" option of Paginator

amsharma 22 Dec, 2014
Hello,

I searched but couldn't find how to get the "All" records option when I invoke Paginator in custom code. The paginator works fine but I want to give user the option to see all rows so that he can export them. In this post - http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/posts/f12/t89864.html the user can see "All" but I only see page numbers, viz. I see "first, before, page #s..., next, last" buttons at the bottom of the page.

I searched but couldn't find how to get "All" to show.

Hi amsharma,

Do you see the pagination drop-down where you can select the number of items displayed?

Hello GreyHead,

No, I cannot see the pagination drop-down. My other configuration seems to be ok, "Add Form tags" is Yes. My footer code has
{paginator}

Hi Amal,

Please try switching temporarily to one of the default Joomla! templates and see if you can see the drop-down then.

Bob,

The template I am using is default Joomla template Protostar which is simple as I understand it. I changed it to Beez and the drop-down showed up but most of the other page formatting went awry. The page links are coming vertically downward, the "Default list limit" which I set to 1000 but still it shows 5 records by default and other minor issues.

Can I do something to make it work with Protostar.

Thanks
Amal

Hello,

Any solutions or suggestions to solve this. Do we know why the pagination drop-down doesn't show up on some templates then maybe we can try to solve it. I have setup Protostar in "fluid" mode, in case that is a factor.

Thanks, Amal

Hi Amal,

What about using CCv5 for this listing only ? it should work fine and we have some tutorials on the FAQs section, I'm not sure why the "All" option doesn't show in v4, the Joomla pagination code is used.

v5 can work with v4 on the SAME site, so you don't have to worry about converting every list you have.
