Hi! We have several J2.5 website we want upgrade to Joomla 3.3. Some of them have the CF4 component installed and one or more forms in it.
If we upgrade to J3.3, will CF4 still work OK? Is it a good idea to disable CF before updating Joomla and enabling it after the upgrade? Any other suggestions / tips?
And when we also want to update CF4 to CF5, should we do this before the J3.3 upgrade or after?

Hi Jip,
If you have existing forms in CFv4 then you can install and run CFv4 on Joomla 3.3. There is no need to disable and enable - though it is wise to backup your forms and the database tables before making the changes.
Please make sure that after the site upgrade you have installed the latest version of CFv4 for Joomla 3.
If you want to move from CFv4 to CFv5 I'd do that after the Joomla upgrade. There is no automatic CF upgrade so you would need to work on moving the forms over one at a time. You can run both versions of CF on the same site with no problems.
