Chronoforms running slowly and slowing down back end of Joomla

EOLGeorge 07 Nov, 2014
Hi,
I just installed the trial version and it really looks incredible but I have a major issue.

When I load the component it takes a full 10 count for any type of activity to be recognized by the gui. Click in a box, enter text, click a button whatever and it takes a full 10 count for any type of response.
This includes the Joomla admin area links at the top of the page.
When I finally get to another component Joomla responds normally.
I'm on a dedicated server with a very fast fiber connection. Did a full reboot, killed all other open programs.

This does not happen with any other Joomla Component.

It really looks like this is a great component and for the price it is a no brainer but I just can't handle the sluggishness of the response.

I see no other complaints about this so I hope I am missing something stupid.

Help!!

Cheers,

G

Hi George,

Once the for edit page loads, everything should respond normally, unless your web browser process is already using a lot of memory.

It may also take few seconds to save the form (maybe 5 seconds or less).

Please try to have only 1 window of either Chrome (preferred) or Firefox to access the Joomla admin and Chronoforms, that should work best.

Max

That didn't appear to help.
Rebooted again and only 1 Chrome window running.
Even the Joomla tabs are like molasses but if I click for a new browser window it pops right up.
Should I maybe try an earlier build?

FYI the forms manager page works fine, it's just dealing with any of the forms.

It actually works fine in Firefox.

Answer
It depends on your system/browser and plugins, for example Chrome works better for me and for other users who had the same problem, because Chrome has a process for each window/tab opened, but if it works better for you on Firefox then good, maybe your Chrome has some plugins causing the slowness!🙂

Yes, I disabled plugins that I was not using and Chrome now works just fine also.
Thanks, Selecting GREEN now 😀
