Captcha Error

Hi folks,

Suddenly the captcha code has stopped to work correctly.
Even if I fill the filed with the correct letter it doesn't work.

I realize that after I notice that the request informations from my website were, day after day, from 11 september, less recurring than the previous time.

Is there a chance to solve this problem?

Hi Antonio,

Something has changed on your site - have you upgraded Joomla!? Added new modules? Changed the template? Has your web-host changed something on the server?

Nothing has changed on my site and on the server.

The captcha doesn't work correctly since 20 days: if you try to fill the field with the correct code the form doesn't send an email but you get the alert: "You have entered a wrong verification code! error."

what can I do to fix this problem?

Hi Antonio,

Sorry to disagree but clearly something has changed otherwise your Captcha would still be working.

If you are still getting some submissions that suggests that the failure is not 100% - is it related to a particular browsers?

Now I'm receiving some requests because I've deleted the captcha code from all my forms. By the way now my mailbox is full of spam.
It could be useful for you to know the version of my chronoforms intstallation and of the php running on the web server.
Here they are:
Chronoforms : 4.0.1
Php: 5.4.4-14.

My question still is . . . what has changed to make a difference?

I suggest that you try one of the other security question options and/or add serverside validation to block the spam results.

Hi Bob,
I solved the problem by simply upgrading the joomla version to 2.5.26 (It's an old site and it will be soon replaced with a new version in joomla 3).
Now it seems to work correctly again.
