Chronoforms5 reloads on submit or shows message "Form name can NOT be empty!"

duduica 18 Sep, 2014
Hello,

I'm having the following problem with a CronoForm 5: when I hit the submit button the form just reloads with all the data in the fields, without any error message. The form is on an article that is accessed from the menu with the URL: /index.php/contact. If I access the form using the article url (/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=XXX) then the form submits fine.
I read that when using friendly URLS in Joomla and Relative URLS in ChronoForms there can be problems so I tried switching off the relative URLS but then I have the following error, when submitting: "Form name can NOT be empty!", this time also when using the article URL.
Can you please help? If you need more details please tell me exactly which. I'm new to chronoforms.

Thanks,
Simon.

Hi duduica,

Please post a link to the form so I can take a quick look.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply. The link is now https://facerig.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=127 and now it works because I deactivated the Search Engine Friendly URLs.
When I activate the SEF, the URL is https://facerig.com/index.php/contact (or https://facerig.com/contact if I activate mod_rewrite also) and with both of the urls it doesn't work. The site also uses the ChronoForums and when I activate the SEF URLs the images are broken, for example the avatars of the posts.

Regards,
Simon.

Hi Simon,

Could you please disable the https and test again with SEF on but relative URLs OFF ? also please let us know the url in the browser bar after you submit with SEF on!

Max

Hi Max,

Sorry for the late reply. I'm trying to find time to make a test deployment of the site as it has many visitors and I'm not comfortable with changing these things on the live environment. As soon as I do this I'll let you know.

Regards,
Simon.
