CF in Ajax popups

Dolfje 16 Sep, 2014
Hi there

We use a lot of your Forms in our site, and to reduce page-flipping we placed them in popup-windows.

This plugin preloaded all the popup-content however, whicj caused a large delay in page-loading. A work-around from the support team fetched the popups on demand with Ajax, but then the forms disappeared (we placed these in an article, other article content like images and text loads fine).

What can we do to still use ChronoForms?

Kind regards

Hi Dolfje,

I'm not sure how adding the forms to an article helps here?

The simplest solution is probably to load them in the popups with an IFrame using the direct form URL without the template (add &tmpl=component to the calling URL).

Our pop-up can only display articles. Also, we would like to add a picture and some text explaining the form.

Do you think that the template is the cause of our problem? If so, can we disable that on another way?

Thank you for your time!

Hi Dolfje,

I always suggest that you add explanatory text and images to the form HTML rather than embedding the form in an article. Either will work most of the time.

I have no idea why your forms aren't loading - at a guess something in the way you are doing it doesn't support Joomla! content plug-ins??
