Mailer Error: The following From address failed

Hi there, I have read the other entries on the subject, but it doens´t seem to help in my case 😟

Joomla herself (is it her? 😉 ) can send email just fine. But I just cannot get Chronoforms to send!? I have tried it with and without configuring SMTP settings in Chronoforms, with both fixed from, to, etc. and dynamic, nothing seems to work.

Anyone out there with similar problems (solutions). Thanks in advance!

Deinstalled v5, reinstalled v4 and forms send email just fine!? What's the difference (in mail handling) between v4 and v5?

CFv4 uses the Joomla! email code; CFv5 uses it's own Email sender code using the PHPMailer v5 classes. That is a part of the GCore framework that Max has added to make CF usable on other CMSs - like WordPress.

I haven't yet started to get my head around the detailed differences :-(

Thanks! Perhaps something's wrong then, with 'my' Gcore-environment? This is installed, along with CF5? Is anything specific (hosting side) needed, perhaps some necessary PHP-settings?

I tried everything in CF5: with and without config settings in CF, with and without fixed and dynamic to's and froms .. Nothing worked! I have my forms working in CF4 again, but i would prefer going along upgrades ..

I'm afraid that I don't know enough about how Max has coded this to start to give you a sensible answer. Maybe in a few weeks I'll understand better how it works
